Suzuki sent me a free Tire Gauge!
Suzuki sent me a genuine Suzuki tire pressure gauge. It came with a note that said, “Since your V-Strom is the nicest one we ever built, we want to help you promote our company’s image.” That is right–Suzuki says my V-Strom is better than yours.
Ok, so that is not entirely true. I did receive a Suzuki tire gauge, but there was no such note. Truth be told, I was Suzuki’s 300th follower on a new website called Twitter, and for being a part in that milestone they awarded me with the nicest tire pressure gauge I have ever held.
If you use Twitter, a few Suzuki reps post updates on @SuzukiScoop. If you want to follow my V-Strom updates, I am @veestrom.
The Suzuki Tire Pressure Gauge is part number 990A0-99006, and handles tire pressures up to 60 psi. Suzuki also makes an ATV Tire Pressure Gauge that looks very similar but is only capable of measuring up to 15 psi. The ATV gauge is part number 990A0-49000.
Thanks, Suzuki, and thanks to the individuals running SuzukiScoop, a fine example of a corporate Twitter profile done the right way.
