Replacing the oil cap on your V-Strom will give you a greater sense of security about your bike. Most of the after market replacement oil caps I have found cannot be removed without a tool. These caps look great, too, compared to the stock black plastic twist off.

The V-Strom oil cap is also the SV oil cap. A M20X1.5mm thread oil cap will fit the DL1000, DL650, SV650 and SV1000. Most of these optional caps use a rare size 7mm allen key wrench, and a few of these vendors include this wrench with the purchase. I got the Touratech.
